PNR Status Nouthern Railway
The Northern Railways is among the nine old zones of Indian Railways and also the biggest with a network having 6807 kilometre route. The states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh and the Union territories of Delhi and Chandigarh. The Northern Railways is the one of the 16 zones and the northernmost zone of the Indian Railways. The Northern Railway zone was formed on 14 April, 1952 by merging Jodhpur Railway, Bikaner Railway, Eastern Punjab Railway and three divisions of the East Indian Railway north-west ofMughalsarai (Uttar Pradesh).It includes the first passenger railway line in North India, which opened from Allahabad and Kanpur on March 3, 1859.

Recently 39 mobile units including 15 Rajdhanis, six Shatabdis, 11 mail and express trains, two Sampark Kranti and three Jan Shatabdis Express trains have been taken over by the Northern Railway. Facilities of cloakroom, retiring room, Dormitories have been provided to the passengers at station along with luggage storage facilities.
Blankets sanitizing equipment have been provided at all major locations to remove odour from blankets. Further, a Clean Train Scheme has been implemented at New Delhi, Moradabad, Lucknow and Varanasi stations. Live TV system has been provided at no extra cost in one executive class LHB Shatabdi Coach for the passengers during the journey. LED destination boards have been provided on 250 coaches for the guidance of passengers.
